Learning meditation from/with a restless mind.

restless

„I am restless. Things are calling me away. My hair is being pulled by the stars again“ Anais NinĀ

Are you one of those people who cannot really sit still? A person who would rather run, jump or dance than watch the breath? Someone who feels constantly attracted to new ideas, new projects and new people? So am I. Meditation practices do not come naturally to my restless being, yet they offer the steadiness and the connection that I (we?) deeply long for. Meditation is for everyone; it is an effective tool to cultivate qualities that our world desperately needs (self-acceptance, patience & mindfulness, for example). And because we live in crazy times (constantly stimulated by electronic devices, artificial light and internet) shutting down and counteracting the speed and the intensity of the world through yoga & meditation can become important tools and a true investment on our mental health.
