Adventures in Berlin- Part I

jivamukti loveFalling in love with Berlin’s Jivamukti Yoga Studio.

Travelling alone (!) and having slept only 4.5 hours, I started the day at 4am and arrived in Berlin to notice I had no proper directions on how to find my way in this big metropolitan city. Nevertheless, I still opted to drive straight to a Yoga class, instead of going first to the hotel; this decision turned out to be everything but disappointing. Once in the Jivamukti Yoga Studio, I was greeted by a friendly woman who wasn’t alarmed by seeing me arrive 65min before the next class, refused to allow me to pay the more expensive class-package and found it cool that I was going to use my unlimited pass for more than one class (3 to be exact) per day. But I only started truly loving the Studio when I realized the treasures they keep in their beautiful and cozy Jivamukti Yoga Canteen: gluten-free banana bread, raw matcha cashew cake and grain-free breakfast cookies amongst many other very delicious (vegan & organic) treats! All topped with free internet and dozens of Yoga books to read while you drink one (or several) soy or almond milk cappuccinos! This is all it takes for me to fall in love… For anybody who needs open people, a friendly environment and good yoga to be happy, this place is close to heaven.

Here are some of my favorite after-yoga treats:

1. Chia Pudding

2. Black bean brownies &

3. Overnight Oats
